WHILE THERE

If you’ve got the time, why not turn the trip into a mini holiday? Croatia is packed with stunning sights, crystal-clear seas, and rich culture. Here are a few ideas to inspire you:

Where to Stay

We highly recommend staying in Bol, which is on the island of Brač. It’s the most convenient location, especially as transport to the ceremony will be leaving from Bol.

That said, Brač is a small island and generally easy to get around, so if you’re staying elsewhere, it is all still very manageable

Things to Do While You’re in Croatia

In Bol & Brač:

  • Zlatni Rat Beach – Famous for its unique shape and turquoise waters. Perfect for swimming, sunbathing, or water sports.
  • Vidova Gora – Hike or drive to the highest point on the island for panoramic views over the Adriatic.
  • Wine Tasting – Explore local vineyards and try Brač’s famous white wine, Pošip.
  • Olive Oil Museum – A charming spot to learn about Brač’s olive oil tradition (and taste it too!).

Further Afield (if you have extra time):

  • Split – A lively city with a beautiful old town and Diocletian’s Palace – a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
  • Hvar – Hop on a boat to visit the stylish island of Hvar with its buzzing harbour and beach clubs.
  • Krka National Park – An easy day trip from Split. Think waterfalls, emerald pools, and boardwalk trails.
  • Dubrovnik – A longer trip, but absolutely worth it if you’ve got the time. Walk the ancient city walls and take in the Game of Thrones vibes.

Let us know if you’d like any help planning or need recommendations — we want everyone to have a brilliant time in Croatia, whether you’re staying for a few days or making a full holiday of it!
